Women run the ring of RM10, 000 have to capture


KAJANG: a Woman who ran a piece of gold bangles worth RM10,000 in a gold shop at Bangi Gateway, bandar baru Bangi, 5 August, finally successfully arrested, a day after the incident.

The suspect, who is also a 28-year-old widow, was detained at his residence at Sungai Merab Tua here at around 6.15pm, following investigations and intelligence.

Kajang police chief, Assistant Commissioner Ahmad Dzaffir Mohd Yussof, said the investigation found that the suspect who worked as a clinic assistant had to charge the jewelery as soon as his escape.

"The suspect confessed to pawn the gold bracelet in a pawnshop here (Kajang) with a value of RM6,000 on grounds of urgency.

"The suspect has also spent part of the money to buy home items and the remaining RM4,350 we find at the suspect's house," he said in a press conference here yesterday.

He said again, the review found that the suspect has no criminal record and the results of the screening test his urine also negative.

"The results of the investigation also we managed to get back jewelry from the pawn shop is concerned, yesterday.

"The suspect, who has a five-year-old daughter, is remanded four days until tomorrow to assist the investigation and the case is being investigated under Section 380 of the Penal Code for stealing," he said.

In the incident at about 1pm, the suspect initially pretended to ask for a chain of a hand with a female salesman at the gold shop and asked to try it.

After wearing the chain, the suspect asked the salesperson to produce another chain and again he wanted to try to wear it.

The salesperson took back the first hand chain and handed the second hand chain to the suspect to try.

After the salesman resumed the first chain into the showroom and was calculating the price of the second hand chain, the suspect kept rushing out of the store and fled with the jewelry.

The salesman tried to pursue the woman but failed.
