Death was stung by 60 hornet


JERTIH: An eight-year-old boy died after being stabbed by more than 60 hornets, yesterday.

The victim, Muhammad Adrian Aiman ​​Mohd Rosmin, Year 2 student Benting Lintang National School, was confirmed dead when receiving treatment at Kota Bharu Hospital, Kelantan at 11am yesterday.

The victim's father, Mohd Rosmin Ong Bo Jit @ Hussin , 30, said the incident happened when his eldest son was playing hide-and-seek of Bushes that was located about 100 meters from his home in Kampung Benting Lintang, near here.

"Suddenly the four of them were attacked by the hornet on the tree. My son, who had the most sting ... the whole body from the foot to the front, was estimated to be more than 60 daggers.
"My nephew sent him home with a motorcycle at about 6.45 pm yesterday, and his condition was weak but could still talk," he said.

Mohd Rosmin said he and his wife, Nor Azah Hamid, 27, took her son to Besut Hospital, but were then referred to the Kota Bharu Hospital for further treatment.
